How did your child/children perceive the Yashor? Did their perception change once they heard all views?

Was your child's view of the Yashor a negative one (focusing on the threats it represented), a positive one (seeing the Yashors as part of the planets natural eco system and one that offers medicinal benefits and other possibly unknown benefits), or mixed (as a threat that must be stopped but in a way that maintains the ecological balance of the planet while allowing the colonists to research possible benefits medicinally or otherwise)? Were they able to understand and empathize with the various views of the colonists?

Yesterday, I played the first level with my 10 year-old son. He caught on very quickly, understood all the directions, and "drove" for most of the playing time; though we discussed many of the choices, and I had to explain some slightly tricky wording in a couple of places. He seemed to really enjoy the game, and is eager to play the second level (though we haven't had time for it, due to other commitments this weekend). He didn't express any judgment about the Yashor while we played the game.
Today, I asked my son about his view of the Yashor. He said he didn't think they were "bad", because "they didn't kill the sheep for fun or to intentionally hurt the colonists", but to be "good" they would have had to not kill the sheep in the first place; he thinks they are in-between good and bad, "in a class by themselves". He said he understands that the Yashor killed and ate the sheep just to survive, just like some animals on Earth do.

Great feedback PlayfulDad! Thanks. Would you mind giving some examples of the wording you're referring to? If you weren't there to guide your son through those spots do you think he would have been able to ultimately figure things out by playing through or would he have been able to do a quick web search to gain a clearer understanding? It'd be great to get some of your son's thoughts on the game, please let him know he's welcome to post to the Players forum.
